Having a website is just the beginning. Think of your website as a storefront business. Like traditional business, in order to get traffic to your store, you would need to advertise or market your business. Traditionally, you would probably send out a mailing, submit a press release to the media, advertise in local newspapers or magazines, and of course, offer a "Grand Opening" special.

Well, similar marketing efforts should be conducted for a website. Nevada Website Design specializes in "internet marketing" for your website business. We can send out internet press releases to websites that provide press release distribution to the world wide web. Nevada Website Design can manage other internet marketing efforts, such as paid advertising and advertising partnership management, which would give your website more exposure, in turn bringing visitors to your website.

VeriSign Announces DNS Behavior Changes

I came across a situation which resulted in a domain not showing on some computers.....which seems to have affected Comcast users in the Seattle, Washington area. This particular domain was showing up fine on my pc, as well as others' pc's across the country.

After some troubleshooting efforts which didn't have any favorable results, I decided to call the hosting company on behalf of my client, to see if there was a problem on the dedicated server where the domain resides.

The first thing the tech advised me of was that VeriSign had announce that as of March 1, 2010, there would be a DNS Behavior change which would affect the .com, .net and .edu nameservers behaviors and how nameservers work previous to and after March 1, 2010.. You can read the article by clicking here. If you are NOT technically inclined, don't worry about it - it's for us "geeks!"

The tech and I also discovered that the domain itself was missing a digit from the assigned IP Address, and was "missing" from Whois information. The fact that the .com domain was attached to a .biz nameserver leads me to believe the aboive mentioned article didn't come into play in this case, but at least it was an eye-opener.
